Emotes: Phase 1

right from playtest #1 we all agreed something was missing

the sprites were using words but they lacked the accompanying gestures to punctuate, and without emotions the conversations felt… incomplete.

the solution is simple, the application is intensive, and we finally have phase 1 of the expression (emote) system in place

you will be able to choose which expression set best suits your characters unique style, via the appearance skinning system

sets will be acquired through a variety of channels, most importantly those earned through participating in live events, exclusively belonging to those who participated as a token and reminder of the story the set is inspired from

so, what's phase 23beyond ?

phase

overhead animations for expressions to align with emotions for each letters A through Z

facial expression changes that match the correlating emotion being communicated

correlating body movement that complements facial change and expression animations

uhh... TLDRwhat?

#2) you’ll get to pick from a potentially endless library of event exclusive and other special sets to express your unique tone

#3) the video sample is just phase 1, phase 2 will be implemented when the next client is released, and phase 3 will be a big undertaking that will likely correspond with other sprite body improvements like horseback riding and archery
